How text-message consent works
Enola’s SMS line (+1 (510) 443-6652) only answers people who were invited, verified their own number, and agreed to our terms. Here is each step.
Step 1
She requests an invitation
On eno.la/#invite, she enters her email in the invitation form (Clerk’s “Join the waitlist” form). Directly under the form, the page says:
By requesting an invitation you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy. If you’re invited, you’ll verify your mobile number and can then text Enola. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. See Messaging Terms.
No phone number is collected on this form, and no text messages are sent from it.

Step 2
She accepts the invitation and verifies her number
If she is invited, she opens the invitation email and creates her account. Sign-up requires her own mobile number, confirmed with a one-time code sent to it, and a checkbox agreeing to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Sign-up is not possible without an invitation.
Step 3
She texts Enola first
From the number she verified, she sends the first message to +1 (510) 443-6652. Enola never starts a conversation. Texting Enola is her consent to receive replies, as described in the Messaging Terms.
A number without an invitation gets one reply: “Enola is invite-only right now. Request an invitation at https://eno.la. Reply STOP to opt out.”
Step 4
Enola’s first reply discloses the program
Enola’s first reply is this exact text, with message frequency, rates, HELP and STOP:
Welcome to Enola, an AI assistant. Replies are AI-generated and can be wrong. Enola stores this conversation to help you, and our messaging and AI providers process it to reply. Send DELETE MY DATA anytime to erase it. Terms: https://eno.la/legal/terms Privacy: https://eno.la/legal/privacy
Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
Afterwards, HELP and STOP work at any time. Their exact replies are in the Messaging Terms.
